Quaint shops, boutiques and cafes are all within walking distance while great activities are just minutes away. Take the kids to Legoland which is just a 10 minute drive, or drive down to San Diego and spend some time at the San Diego Zoo, SeaWorld San Diego, or the Del Mar Racetrack. Just to the north you’ll find Disneyland, Knott’s Berry Farms and Disney’s California Adventure. Carlsbad Inn offers both hotel accommodations and vacation condos with on-site activities and fun for the whole family. The beautifully landscaped courtyard is perfect for sunbathing and relaxing while listening to the sound of the rolling waves. Each vacation condo is delightfully appointed for a comfortable and fun vacation with convenient features such as full kitchens and dining areas for quick family meals. All hotel rooms offer coffee makers, televisions and VCR's with video rentals available at the resort. While enjoying the gorgeous Southern California weather, take advantage of the free beach equipment rentals such as beach chairs, boogie boards, and sand toys for the kids. Spend an afternoon relaxing in the game room playing a game of ping pong or cool off in the on-site pool. The resort also features barbecue areas for family picnics and meeting rooms for group meetings and events. Don’t forget to enjoy some authentic Mexican cuisine at the on-site restaurant, which is a local favorite. Hotel Reservation Policies A $1.00 per night city assessment fee will be charged upon check-out. This fee is in addition to the room rate, and is not included in your online reservation total. A $6.00 per night resort fee will be charged upon check-out. This fee is in addition to the room rate, and is not included in your online reservation total. Carlsbad Inn is a non-smoking property. Smoking is only permitted in two designated areas. Cancellations are subject to a 10% cancellation penalty, and must be made 30 days prior to arrival. Extended stays may require a room move. Hotel Renovation Notice Beginning January 5, 2009, the resort will be replacing portions of its patios of north facing units in one of its condo buildings. During this time guests will not have access to their patios, there will be a smoke colored plastic placed over sliding glass doors to ensure both privacy and that no access is granted. There will be scaffolding put up around the building for the duration of the project. The first week will consist of noise due to the cutting of concrete. The first phase of the project will continue for three weeks. The second phase of the project will begin January 26, 2009 on the patios of the west and south facing units of the same condo building. The schedule of work will duplicate the first phase, with the highest concentration of noise during the first week. The anticipated completion date for this project is February 23, 2009. Although every effort will be made to ensure that all guests are affected by the construction, the resort cannot guarantee that guests will not be assigned a unit in the building where this renovation is taking place.
