Hotel Overview An historic landmark, the Millennium Biltmore Hotel has been
home to presidents, kings and Hollywood celebrities since it opened
in 1923. The hotel was host to the founding banquet for the Motion
Picture Arts and Sciences, and was the location of the conception
of the Oscar award.

Millennium Hotels and Resorts is committed to preserving the environment, with eco-friendly initiatives across 15 U.S. hotels and at the corporate level. Here are some of the practices we have adopted in our long-term focus on being “green.”
- Primary Goals: Raise awareness of sustainable development issues across all U.S. properties; promote environmental purchasing and supply; monitor progress of implementation measures arising from hotel assessments; and, set up a “Green Committee” at every property.
- Water Conservation: Guests can do their part by opting to have their linens changed on the second night of their stay, in order to reduce the amount of water used in the cleaning process or by participating in the terry re-use program, in which they can hang their towels back on the rack and reuse; and, rooms have been equipped with showerheads, toilets and faucets that conserve water.
- Electrical Energy Conservation: New, low-energy lighting is being used within hotels; all equipment being purchased is EnergyStar® compliant; and, new programmable thermostats in guestrooms eliminate unnecessary energy usage.
- Recycling: Introduced recycling programs for glass and bottles wherever possible; and, instituted a program to recycle paper at all corporate and hotel offices and reception desks.
- Eco-Friendly Suppliers and Products: Cleaning processes revamped to eliminate the use of aerosols and introduce eco-friendly cleaning chemicals; eliminated the use of non-biodegradable Styrofoam cups at all hotels; corporate and property-wide collateral to be printed on recycled plastics and paper; and, selected eco-friendly suppliers from the Avendra procurement program.

The Gallery Bar has been recognized by Los Angeles Magazine as

Rendezvous Court
The famed Rendezvous Court, adorned with Moorish carved wood
ceilings and gold accents also features travertine stone walls and
a rose marble fountain. Traditional afternoon tea is served daily
from 2:00 pm - 5:00 pm. Another option is the Princess Tea, which
offers a pot of tea, freshly baked scones and an assortment of
miniature French pastries.
